DefCon is a very well known conference for the past few decades in the field of hard core Information Security(both offensive and defensive). There are several local-groups for DefCon around the world and these are called DefCon Group (DGC), and these groups have been responsible for spreading the word. EvilFingers proudly acknowledges DefCon 571 (Northern Virginia).
